KOSTAL Group expands eMobility portfolio across UK and Europe

New company, vaylens, set to address the challenges of optimizing and managing electric vehicles across Europe and UK

Compleo Charging Software becomes vaylens in the KOSTAL Group

Presentation at Power2Drive 2024, Stand B6.410

Oxford and Dortmund: June 20, 2024 - KOSTAL Group is expanding its range of services with the launch of vaylens, an innovative software division for the management of charging infrastructure. With this step, KOSTAL is expanding its position as a strong, sustainable corporate group in the energy solutions segment. The name vaylens is associated with the vision of offering forward-looking solutions for charging and energy infrastructure.

vaylens follows in the footsteps of Compleo Charging Software but operates independently of hardware and across manufacturers. The focus is to expand its business from the DACH region to the UK and across Europe. vaylens will offer software solutions that simplify the operation of charging infrastructures and make the billing of charging processes more efficient. The sister company Compleo Charging Solutions will focus on the hardware business for the optimisation of EV charging technology within the KOSTAL Group.

KOSTAL has been an innovator in electromobility for decades. It was the first to implement plug-and-charge independently of hardware in the market with its onboard chargers (OBCs) and has now equipped over 4,500,000 vehicles with OBCs. The KOSTAL Group will develop vaylens into a leading provider of intelligent charging solutions in Europe. The expansion is an important part of the company’s business strategy for energy solutions. The software backend is part of the comprehensive electromobility ecosystem of the group and complements it optimally.

vaylens makes it easier for both newcomers and charge point operators (CPOs) to use electromobility by offering comprehensive options for the management and monetization of charging infrastructure. vaylens is a hardware-independent software provider for charging infrastructure. The focus is on applications in the public and private sector. The aim is to provide CPOs with user-friendly and scalable solutions that are easy to manage. The company enables CPOs to make their charging stations accessible to all electric car drivers with minimal effort. Its innovative products will make charging at workplaces, in houses in multi occupancy buildings (HMO), and for vehicle fleets efficient.

Our customers benefit from a wider range of choices and an improved user experience, while we respond flexibly and tailor-made to the challenges of this growing market.”
